Brenda Todd

Manager, Client Production
How
do you begin to describe what you do when your role is vital to so many
different parts of the business? Brenda
doesn’t spend much time dwelling on the description of her job, preferring to
attack the ever evolving (not to mention growing) “to do list” for the day.
Brenda’s
position is unique in that she juggles managing client projects while overseeing
the HLB internal support team that is so vital to keeping the professional staff
(including herself) on the right path. She
simultaneously plans and manages client and HLB events, oversees major research
projects, coordinates the production of all printed and multimedia materials
(brochures, CD-ROM presentations, Web sites, newsletters, corporate identity,
etc.) for HLB and its clients, all while mentoring our staff of team assistants
and junior account people.
It’s
all in a day’s work for Brenda – her levelheaded and consistent approach
enables her to handle the mental gymnastics required to manage so many
different tasks at the same time. In
addition, Brenda dabbles in design and is adept at illustrating complex ideas.
When presenting HLB to a prospective client or employee, it is Brenda’s
handiwork that graces the pages of our presentations.
She
is very proud of her recent accomplishments at HLB, including:
- Planning
and implementing the first ever Sears Family Reunion Contest for Sears, Roebuck
and Co. as part of their public relations outreach efforts to brand Sears as a
“one-stop resource” for planning a family reunion. Contest was held in Denver and responsibilities
included: strategy development, contest development and logistics,
coordination of partnership with a local Denver radio station, and event
management and on-site management for the winning family’s reunion.
- Managing
the production of an educational, interactive CD-ROM to introduce Premier’s
automated, online purchasing services to the GPO’s 1,500 hospitals and
health systems. The entire project – from conception to CD-ROM delivery at a
major conference – was completed in less than six weeks.
- Assisting
in the planning and logistics of media events in New York, Washington D.C.
and Chicago for Winston & Strawn “Opportunities
Through Education” initiative to commemorate its 150th
anniversary in 2003.
- Working
with designers and printers to oversee development of HLB’s new corporate
identity, as well as a wide variety of internal and external newsletters and
other publications for HLB clients.
