Maureen is the most important employee in the agency – on the 15th and 30th of each month, that is. This is because one of her responsibilities is payroll. Although she's never worn a pocket protector, numbers have been her thing since she entered the workforce.

Maureen has been working with HLB in some capacity for the past 20 years. Her starting role at HLB began with working one or two days a month to assist with billing – she is currently working somewhere between part- and full-time.

Maureen is able to take the diversification of clients and their billing needs in stride. "Patience is a virtue" is the motto she most often lives by. In addition to payroll and invoicing, Maureen's duties include all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable, management reports, insurance and 401K plan coordinator. Although not a contributor in "billable" hours, she is proud of:

• Her dedication and longevity with the company.
  
• Her ability to manage billing which began with 15 invoices per month to almost 200 invoices per month currently.
  
• Keeping up with the pace of an increasing number of both clients and employees.
