Pam Flores

Senior Consultant

Pam thrives in the dynamic world of PR as she loves learning the ins and outs of clients’ businesses. She’s a pro at delivering this information to targeted audiences — the media, influencers, prospects and others — creatively shaping clients’ stories to make them appealing and exciting.

She thrives on teamwork and human interaction. Pam’s role at HLB changes constantly — during the course of managing her accounts she is simultaneously a writer, media relations specialist, event coordinator, estimator, researcher and proofreader — immensely enjoying the many hats she wears on a daily basis. She’s excellent at managing collaborative teams to deliver outstanding results; and she delights in building friendly working relationships with clients and the media.

Pam’s colleagues consider her the calm in the ordinarily frenzied storm that is public relations.  Upbeat and positive, not to mention fiercely organized, Pam is always willing to go out of her way to help a client or a colleague.  She is especially happy with some of her recent accomplishments at HLB, including:

  • Launching a highly successful media thought leadership campaign for GE Real Estate division that resulted in profiles, authored articles and expert commentary in top trade real estate publications, including Real Estate Forum, Commercial Property News, Real Estate Portfolio, Urban Land, National Real Estate Investor, Real Estate Chicago, Shopping Centers Today, Hotel Journal and Illinois Real Estate Journal.
  • Rebranding Catalyst International, a leader in supply chain execution solutions, with programs targeting all channels – customers and prospects, strategic partners, employees, industry analysts, media and the investment community.
  • Structuring an issues-oriented media outreach program for Verizon Wireless designed to educate the media and in turn consumers on local number portability (LNP), a mandate handed down by the FCC requiring wireless carriers to enable customer to take their cellular phone number from one service provider to the next.
  • Overseeing speakers’ bureau and tradeshow programs for GE Real Estate, resulting in key executive speaking placements at a wide variety of top-notch shows, including NAREIT, RealShare Conferences, Commercial Property World, ULI, MBA, Lodging Conference and ICSC.
  • Overseeing launch of new picture messaging and walkie-talkie phones for Verizon Wireless, and securing coverage among Chicagoland print and broadcast media.  Launch resulted in features on NBC-TV’s Weekend Web segment, WGN-TV’s “Kurt the Cyberguy” feature, CBS-TV “Tech Tuesday,” as well as articles in the Daily Herald, Northwest Herald and South Bend Tribune.
  • Helping Sears, Roebuck and Co. establish a continuous improvement program designed to help reduce internal communications overload.
